catching up on older pages

Recently, I organized my "album" pages to get them ready to print. There are so many good offers out right now, I want to take advantage of a couple of them to get some pages printed. But, I found MAJOR gaps in the pages I had done. Here's some of the pages I've been doing to try to fill in some of those gaps...

I'd done a couple single pages from the summer vacation 2008, but I hadn't started doing the double pages for an album. So, here's the "first set" showing the night we left out driving and the morning at the coast. (I just noticed a typo that I'll need to fix!)

In 2007, we had the pleasure of a visit from Yoshi (Takefumi's youngest brother) who was in America on a little business trip. I had already scrapped about half the visit - but the last day or two hadn't been done. So, here's a set showing the general pictures from the aquarium. I'd already done the left side, so needed to do the right side to mostly match.

Another set from the aquarium - this is the very dark area where we could view the alligators. I still need to do at least one more set from the aquarium (the bird room) maybe another.

Last year, I created a double page for each of the boys explaining their names. I thought I'd done Mary's also, but couldn't find it if I did! So, here's her new set!

When organizing my pages, I found that I'd done 3-4 pairs of "first pages" with wedding pictures - but they all seemed to use the same pictures! They wouldn't work for an album. So, I set aside one pair and now I'll work on other pairs to continue telling at least a little of the story. Here's the set I did this past week.

This pair of pages is of Jessica with Tanya and Alex. I bought Jessica's shirt and made the shorts for her.

Finally, we had a great "local trip" last summer to Winton Woods Park and Sharon Woods. I'll be doing several sets of pages, but I had to start with these stunning pictures of the crane we saw while out on the peddle boat.

Working on the Ring Pillow

Here's the original inspiration image:

I'm going for more “square” and found a design that I can place in each corner. It will make a square on the outside but more of a circle shape on the inside. Also – each corner has a little heart. The original design had multiple colors – but I'm showing it here in a single color stitching.

I have the fabric, lace, and ribbon – all in a creamy off white (sorta antique). The fabric and the lace are 100% cotton.

A place to post my layouts and such

This little blog is for me to show my digi-scrap layouts to my far reaching family. I want a place for them to come to see what is happening in our lives.

Here's some of our more recent news....

Jonathan and Thomas both have glasses now! We found out that Jonathan had gotten progressively worse and he could barely see!!! Thomas isn't as bad.

Jessica is now one years old. She isn't walking yet, but she is full of personality and manages to get around pretty good by crawling.

In November, Mary asked to make a gingerbread house. The day we were working on it, a friend (since age 5) came for a visit, so they decorated it together!

Well, that's it for today!
